Ramgarh SIT Arrests Men for UAE, Saudi Currency Theft

Bokaro duo held with stolen Dirham, Riyal

Ramgarh police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) has apprehended two men from Bokaro district for stealing foreign currency from a Chitarpur residence.

According to Ramgarh SP Ajay Kumar, the accused, Chotu Kumar Mahto (22) and Sunny Kumar (20), were found in possession of 31,600 UAE Dirham (worth Rs 7.73 lakh) and 600 Saudi Riyal (worth Rs 14,400).

The theft occurred on November 25 when thieves broke into the home of Chitarpur resident Sajda Tabassum while she was away in Jamshedpur. A formal complaint was filed with Rajrappa police station on November 27, prompting the SIT investigation that led to the arrests.
