NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. — An Albany man has been arrested following a long-running larceny investigation involving a fraudulent bank transaction, North Greenbush Police announced Monday.

Authorities said detectives determined that Rallah Rollins allegedly deposited a counterfeit check at the Community Resource Federal Credit Union in North Greenbush on August 20. The fraudulent transaction reportedly resulted in the theft of $7,413.

After months of investigation, Rollins was identified as a suspect and taken into custody by New York State Police on December 9 on an active arrest warrant. He was later turned over to North Greenbush Police.

Rollins now faces felony charges of first-degree forgery and third-degree grand larceny. Following his arraignment, he was released under the supervision of Rensselaer County Probation.

Police said Rollins is scheduled to return to North Greenbush Town Court at a later date as the case proceeds.
