Kapurai police arrested a motorbike thief on Thursday after receiving credible information that a stolen two-wheeler was being used within the local limits.
Acting on the tip-off, police intercepted the suspect and asked him to produce ownership documents for the motorbike. As he failed to provide valid papers, officers questioned him further. The accused was identified as Rakesh Vasava, a resident of Wagodia.
During interrogation, Vasava admitted that he had stolen the motorbike from the Dabhoi Road area around three weeks ago, police said.
Police further revealed that Vasava is a history-sheeter and has previously been booked in six theft cases registered at various police stations. The stolen two-wheeler was seized, and further investigation is underway.
