The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) carried out extensive raids on Friday morning at properties linked to Rajesh Parmar, a suspended Assistant Revenue Officer of the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC).
Two dedicated teams executed search operations at Parmar’s residence in Bijalpur and at the home of his relatives in the Kanadiya area. The raids led to the recovery of several documents, jewellery, cash, and bank account details. Investigations are ongoing to assess bank accounts, lockers, and other valuables seized during the searches.
Parmar was recently suspended by the IMC Commissioner following allegations of financial irregularities and for accumulating assets that are disproportionate to his known income.
Starting his career as a Beldar (laborer) in the municipal corporation, Parmar had risen to the post of Assistant Revenue Officer over time. During his tenure, he reportedly acquired residential buildings and plots under his and his family members’ names, prompting suspicion and investigation.
The EOW continues to delve deeper into the case to unravel the full extent of the alleged asset accumulation.
