TAMPA, Fla. — A 34-year-old man is in custody after nearly shooting his former employer during a heated wage dispute at a Tampa construction site.
On June 14, Rajache Greenlee reportedly confronted his former boss about unpaid wages. According to authorities, the confrontation escalated when Greenlee pointed a firearm at the man’s head, threatened to kill him, and then fired—missing him by mere inches.
Greenlee then forced entry into the residence at the construction site, caused over $1,000 in property damage, stole a nail gun, and fled.
Detectives from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation and quickly identified Greenlee as the suspect. A warrant was issued, and with assistance from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Greenlee was arrested in Pinellas County on June 16.
He now faces multiple charges, including attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed burglary, and robbery with a firearm.
