Raj Kumar Arrested for Rs3.30 Lakh Online Investment Scam

Raj Kumar, a 31-year-old man from Sirsa, Haryana, was arrested on charges of duping a person of Rs3.30 lakh through a fraudulent online part-time job and investment scheme. The incident came to light when the complainant reported that Kumar had promised higher returns on investment in exchange for part-time job tasks, such as liking and sharing videos.

According to police reports, the accused had initially contacted the complainant through social media, offering a part-time job and assuring commission payments for video engagements. However, Kumar later convinced the victim to invest a sum of money for the job. After receiving the funds, Kumar cut off all communication and deleted the relevant social media groups.

Further investigation revealed that Raj Kumar had allegedly scammed individuals across 23 states, with 85 complaints registered against him. Police tracked Kumar down in Sirsa and took him into custody. Authorities have registered an FIR, and investigations are ongoing.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka), Ankit Singh, confirmed that the accused had been apprehended and further legal proceedings would follow.
