In Troy, NY, on January 31, 2025, the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests following a search warrant executed as part of an ongoing investigation into drug distribution. The operation targeted cocaine and fentanyl trafficking in the Lansingburgh area.
44-year-old Rahiem P. Kyser of Albany was apprehended and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of criminal possession of a weapon, and one count of criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Kyser, with two prior felony convictions and currently on federal probation, was denied bail and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail.
Additionally, 21-year-old Khari Williams of Brooklyn was arrested on two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Williams was released on his own recognizance.
The police raid resulted in the discovery of over 100 grams of fentanyl and cocaine, along with drug packaging materials and a quantity of U.S. currency. The investigation continues.
