Bengaluru police have cracked a shocking murder case in Siddanahalli village, Hoskote taluk, where a woman allegedly killed her husband with the help of her lover, initially attempting to make it look like a road accident.
The victim, Ashok (40), was found on January 24 near a curve in the village road, and villagers initially believed he had been struck by a vehicle. Suspicious circumstances, however, led locals to alert the authorities.
Following an investigation, the Sulibele police discovered that Ashok’s death was a premeditated murder. Pushpa, his wife, along with her lover Devaraj, and two associates, Munindra and Siddappa, were arrested in connection with the crime.
Police said Pushpa, wanting to remove her husband, conspired with her lover and the accomplices. On the day of the incident, Ashok was lured out under the pretext of an alcohol party. Near a lake, the accused attacked him with an iron rod and killed him. The body was then dumped by the roadside to simulate an accident. Pushpa and Devaraj allegedly tried to stage an emotional scene to mislead relatives and neighbors.
Investigators confirmed that inconsistencies in their statements, along with the unusual nature of the scene, raised suspicion and ultimately led to the exposure of the conspiracy.
A police case has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing to gather evidence and complete the legal process. The incident has left Siddanahalli villagers in shock and disbelief.
