Punjab Police Job Scam: Two Booked for Defrauding ₹27 Lakh

Ferozepur Residents Fall Victim to Recruitment Fraud

In a troubling case of recruitment fraud, two individuals have been booked for allegedly deceiving Surinder Singh, a resident of Machhiwala village in Ferozepur, out of Rs27 lakh. Mukhtiar Singh from Sadardin Wala and Ranjit Singh from Jalandhar are accused of promising Singh a job in the Punjab Police force.

The complaint has been filed at the Ferozepur Cantt police station, and the case is being investigated under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 420 (cheating), 465 (forgery), 467 (forgery of valuable security), 471 (using as genuine a forged document), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy).

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is being led by Investigating Officer Raman Kumar, who is working to uncover further details about the alleged conspiracy.
