Pulaski County Man Ricky Bumgardner Arrested for Child Abuse
A 44-year-old man from Pulaski County has been arrested after a child sexual abuse investigation led by Kentucky State Police (KSP). Ricky Bumgardner, from Science Hill, Kentucky, was apprehended following an interview with the KSP Electronic Crime Branch. Authorities say Bumgardner was allegedly uploading sexually explicit images of minors to his social media account.
The investigation led to a search warrant being executed at Bumgardner’s residence on April 29. During the search, KSP officers seized equipment used to facilitate the crime. The items were sent to KSP’s forensic laboratory for further examination.
Bumgardner faces multiple charges, including three counts of promoting a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance, and 20 counts of possessing material depicting a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance. He is currently lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
KSP continues to urge anyone with information related to the case or other potential victims to come forward.
