Prince George Provincial Court has sentenced 35-year-old Pride Dawson Moore to nearly three years and nine months in jail following convictions for firearms possession and dangerous driving.
Judge Cassandra Malfair handed down a six-year sentence but gave Moore over 27 months of enhanced credit for time served since his March 2024 arrest, resulting in the effective prison term. Malfair described Moore as an “enforcer in the drug underworld,” noting that his extensive criminal record and the dangerous circumstances of his arrest outweighed his guilty pleas.
Moore was initially arrested in February 2024 after police found him carrying a loaded .22 caliber pistol, various knives, and a baton while under a lifetime firearms prohibition. He was released on a promise to appear in court but later became the focus of a police investigation involving a stolen vehicle reported in early March.
During a police pursuit in March, Moore evaded capture while driving the stolen car, even attempting to disguise himself with a blonde wig. The chase was eventually called off for safety reasons, but Moore crashed the vehicle and was later arrested at gunpoint. Police seized multiple weapons, including a sawed-off .357 Magnum found inside the stolen car.
Judge Malfair highlighted Moore’s “very serious criminal record,” which includes offenses such as assault, firearm violations, break and enter, and wearing a disguise with intent to commit a crime.
Moore’s sentencing reflects the gravity of his actions and his role within the drug underworld in the Prince George area.
