ODENTON, Md. — A woman suffered minor injuries during a strong-arm robbery Monday night when her phone was forcibly taken by a man in Odenton.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m. in the 1100 block of Annapolis Road. According to police, the man approached the woman and asked to use her phone. When she refused, he forcibly grabbed it and fled the scene.
Responding officers quickly canvassed the area and located a suspect matching the description. He was taken into custody without incident and positively identified by the victim.
The suspect, 35-year-old Preston Lee Harrison of Odenton, has been charged with robbery-related offenses. He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
The victim declined medical transport after sustaining minor injuries. No weapon was used during the robbery, which was classified as a strong-arm robbery due to the use of physical force.
The area is known for its high foot traffic, with nearby businesses and bus stops. Authorities have not confirmed whether surveillance footage played a role in the arrest, and no additional suspects are being sought.
