In a significant anti-narcotics operation, Khajrana police arrested two suspected drug peddlers — Prem and Soma, both residents of Godikheda village in Badnawar — for allegedly bringing cannabis into Indore for distribution.
Acting on a tip-off received by station in-charge Manoj Sendhav, a decoy team posed as customers and lured the suspects to Khajrana under the pretext of a drug delivery. Upon their arrival, the suspects were caught red-handed with 20 kilograms of cannabis.
The police are now expanding their probe to uncover the duo’s local distribution network and trace other accomplices possibly linked to the illegal drug trade in and around Indore.
