In a startling case of impersonation and fraud, Prasanna Reddy, infamously dubbed the “Khiladi Lady,” has been arrested by Mathuranagar police for posing as a High Court judge to defraud over 100 job seekers of crores of rupees.

According to police, Reddy allegedly promised unemployed individuals positions as record assistants in the judiciary, collecting large sums under the pretense of securing them government jobs. Victims across various districts have stepped forward with complaints, exposing the scale of the scam.

One particularly bold incident involved Reddy visiting the Vemulawada temple, where she posed as a judge, assaulted a Circle Inspector (CI), and demanded VIP darshan privileges — all to reinforce her fake identity.

Authorities launched an investigation after numerous complaints were filed. During the probe, it was confirmed that Prasanna Reddy held no official judicial position. She was arrested, presented before the court, and remanded to judicial custody.

Police have begun a wider investigation to uncover whether she acted alone or as part of a network. They are also working to trace the financial trail of the funds collected from victims.

Officials have issued a public warning urging unemployed youth to avoid falling prey to job scams and to always verify official credentials before making payments.
