A former Georgia state employee has been charged in connection with a $230,000 COVID-19 fraud scheme, according to the Georgia Attorney General’s Office.
Porsha Robinson is accused of conspiring with five others to defraud the Georgia Department of Community Affairs Emergency Rental Assistance Program. Authorities say Robinson submitted nine fraudulent applications under various names, including those of her co-defendants, and allegedly received substantial kickbacks from them.
Robinson has been charged with:
One count of identity fraud
Nine counts of false statements and writings
The co-conspirators — Daveon Williams, Sean Wimbush, Dashon Holloman, Miranda Payne, and Davier Ladmirault — have each been charged with one count of false statements and writings.
The investigation into the scheme is ongoing.
