Phase-8 Police Arrest Five for Posing as Officers, Stealing from Shop

Five accused nabbed for mobile theft and robbery in Mohali

The Phase-8 police in Mohali arrested five men on Friday for allegedly posing as police officers and robbing a mobile repair shop in Kumbra. The suspects stole three mobile phones and Rs20,000 in cash.

The accused have been identified as Amandeep Singh, Harpreet Singh, Jaspreet Singh, Gyan Chand, and Charanjeet Singh.

According to the complaint filed by Kuldeep Singh, the shop owner from Phase-9, the accused entered his store around 8:30 pm on February 4, claiming to be police officials. “They began abusing me, and when I confronted them, they threatened me with severe consequences before fleeing with three mobile phones and Rs20,000 in cash,” Kuldeep explained.
