Peyton Jackson, 17, Charged in Darrow Shooting Death

Teen faces second-degree murder in Brown Extension Road case

DARROW, La. — A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting on Brown Extension Road.

On August 28, deputies responded to a residence where they found 18-year-old Tyjon Comery suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite efforts, Comery did not survive.

Following an investigation, deputies identified Peyton Jackson, 17, a close acquaintance of Comery, as the suspect. Jackson faces charges including second-degree murder, obstruction of justice, and illegal use of weapons.

He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail and remains in custody as authorities continue their investigation.
