Perry Walker Pleads Guilty to Child Exploitation

A Tallahassee business owner has pleaded guilty in federal court to multiple sex crimes involving children, according to a press release issued Thursday by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Perry Walker, 44, was previously arrested after investigators with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office searched his business on Thomasville Road and seized electronic devices.

Exploitation Through Social Media

Federal prosecutors said a forensic review of Walker’s devices confirmed he used social media platforms to sexually exploit minors and possessed multiple images and videos depicting child sexual abuse material.

Court documents show Walker communicated with children between the ages of 13 and 15 from Dec. 26, 2024, through Oct. 10, 2025. Prosecutors allege he used those communications to entice minors to send explicit images and videos.

Some of the victims were reported to be living in Europe.

Walker was charged with six counts of sexual exploitation of children, one count of receipt of child pornography, and one count of transfer of obscene material to minors.

CyberTip Led to Investigation

According to prosecutors, the case began after a social media platform submitted a CyberTip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which then notified local authorities.

The investigation was conducted jointly by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations.

Sentencing Scheduled

Walker, who owns Modern Communications, Inc., now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison and a maximum of 30 years.

Sentencing is scheduled for May 11, 2026, at the United States Courthouse in Tallahassee.
