PARAGOULD, Ark. — A surveillance camera helped crack the case of a stolen trailer, leading to the arrest of 52-year-old Perry Noel of Paragould, according to local police.
Noel was taken into custody on June 8 on suspicion of theft of property following an investigation that began nearly a month earlier.
On May 26, Paragould officers responded to a report of a stolen trailer in the 400 block of Elizabeth Drive. The victim told police the trailer, valued at $900, had been taken from the back of his truck and provided a detailed description.
The next day, May 27, a surveillance camera captured video of the stolen trailer being towed by a dark-colored GMC Sierra from the early 2000s, equipped with running boards, police said.
On June 7, police located the vehicle and the trailer. Noel was subsequently arrested and brought in for questioning. According to investigators, Noel made self-incriminating statements during a Mirandized interview.
He is currently being held in the Greene County Jail on a $10,000 bond, awaiting arraignment in circuit court.
