Peoria Police Arrest Timothy Spilman in Stolen Vehicle and Burglary Case

Timothy Spilman Arrested After Fleeing Police in Stolen Vehicle

Peoria, IL – On Saturday morning, a stolen vehicle and burglary investigation led Peoria police to arrest 41-year-old Timothy P. Spilman. The arrest followed a report of a motor vehicle theft and burglary in the 1600 block of West War Memorial Drive at 8:28 a.m.

Responding officers observed the stolen vehicle speeding on War Memorial Drive but chose not to pursue it. The vehicle eventually stopped on Galena Road, just north of East Gardner Lane. Police approached the vehicle and took Spilman into custody without incident.

Spilman was charged with unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, burglary, criminal damage to property, and fleeing law enforcement. He was transported to the Peoria County Jail following his arrest.
