On Tuesday, June 17, Payton Dean Corbitt, 28, of Bridgeport, Alabama, was arrested by special agents from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, State Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Corbitt faces 47 counts of Dissemination or Public Display of Child Pornography as part of an ongoing child exploitation investigation initiated by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail.
Authorities continue to investigate the case, and once complete, all findings will be submitted to the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution. No further details are available at this time.
