The Jagadgirigutta police on Wednesday arrested 36-year-old Patro Shankar of Dattatreya Colony for allegedly stealing 14 tolas of gold ornaments from a residence in Yellammabanda.
Authorities said the arrest was made based on technical evidence and a tip-off. Upon searching, police recovered several stolen items, including a gold necklace, a black bead chain, a three-layer chain, a chain with a locket, and four gold rings.
The accused has been taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing to determine if he was involved in any other similar cases in the area.
