NASSAU, N.Y. — Patrick Walsh, a Nassau resident, is facing additional charges in connection to an ongoing scam investigation, New York State Police confirmed.
Walsh was previously arrested in May for allegedly defrauding several victims between August 2024 and February 2025 while in Schodack. Police say he accepted payments for goods such as recreational vehicles and concert tickets that were never delivered. The fraudulent transactions amounted to a total loss of over $20,000.
He was initially charged with:
Two counts of third-degree grand larceny
Two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny
First-degree scheme to defraud
On August 25, another victim came forward after seeing news of Walsh’s arrest. A renewed investigation revealed that in the spring of 2023, Walsh had allegedly offered to sell this victim construction equipment. After the victim paid a deposit of over $3,000, Walsh reportedly failed to deliver the items and only refunded part of the money, resulting in a theft of more than $1,000.
Already in custody at Albany Correctional Facility on a separate, similar case, Walsh was arrested again on September 16. He now faces:
One count of fourth-degree grand larceny
One count of first-degree scheme to defraud
He was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court and remains in custody.
