In a widening investigation into the misappropriation of funds from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF), Jubilee Hills Police have arrested two more individuals, taking the total number of arrests in the case to 13.

The latest accused have been identified as Pagadala Srinivasa Rao and Yasa Venkateshwarulu, both residents of Khammam district. According to police officials, the duo fraudulently posed as CMRF beneficiaries and managed to divert sanctioned cheques into their personal bank accounts.

The funds—amounting to Rs8.71 lakh—were meant for legitimate victims in need of financial relief. Investigations revealed that the accused used forged documents and created fake identities to intercept and deposit the cheques. Afterward, the money was withdrawn for personal use.

The case is being pursued under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology Act. Senior officers from the Hyderabad City Police are overseeing the ongoing investigation, and authorities are working to recover the stolen funds and identify any further culprits involved.
