WOODLAND HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Three suspects have been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a violent home invasion robbery that left a man dead in Woodland Hills, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.
The victim, 47-year-old Aleksandre Modebadze, was found dead at the scene of the attack, which occurred shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday on the 22200 block of De La Osa Street. Police say Modebadze was held captive and assaulted during the robbery, sustaining a fatal head injury.
LAPD identified the suspects as Paata Kochyashvili, 38, Zaza Otarashvili, 46, and Besiki Khutsishvili, 52. According to investigators, the trio fled with Modebadze’s property after the assault.
With assistance from the FBI, all three suspects were located and arrested, including two who were apprehended in the city of Glendale. Each is now being held on $2 million bail and faces murder charges.
Authorities have not disclosed what items were stolen or the motive behind the crime, as the investigation remains ongoing.
