GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WFIE) — Jennifer Wilkerson, a 40-year-old woman from Owensville, Indiana, has been arrested on charges of vehicle theft and possession of paraphernalia after allegedly failing to return a rented U-Haul vehicle.

Deputies were called to a U-Haul dealer on Highway 41 on Tuesday, where they were informed that the vehicle was not returned as required. Authorities quickly entered the U-Haul into a state law enforcement database as a stolen vehicle.

Later that day, a Princeton police officer spotted the U-Haul on Glendale Street. Wilkerson, who was listed as the person on the vehicle rental contract, was taken into custody at the scene.

Wilkerson was booked into the Gibson County Jail, where she faces charges for vehicle theft and possession of paraphernalia. Additional details about the case are not immediately available.
