Ongole Police Arrest Six in Online Betting Racket

Bank Accounts Misused to Transfer Money Abroad

Ongole Taluka police arrested six individuals on Wednesday for operating an online betting racket and misusing people’s bank accounts to transfer funds abroad. Authorities are actively seeking eight others connected to the scheme.

The accused reportedly created and sold multiple bank accounts to facilitate their illicit transactions.

Those arrested include Shaik Nayab Rasool from S.N. Padu, Arusumalla Praneeth Kumar from Hyderabad, Syed Shahijad Ali from Udayagiri, Singanaboina Chaitanya from Nellore, Shaik Khadarunnisa from Kurnool, and Shaik Ayesha from S.N. Padu. They were apprehended near Peerlamanyam and Arunodaya Colony at Pernmitta village in S.N. Padu mandal, Prakasam district.

Police investigations are ongoing to trace the full network involved in the betting operation.
