Omaha police have apprehended a suspect involved in a recent bank robbery, who was also wanted in connection to an auto theft investigation. The suspect, 29-year-old Jal Chuar, was located after authorities received a tip that he was in the area of 29th and S Streets in South Omaha.
Officers responded to the scene on Friday afternoon and took Chuar into custody without incident. He was subsequently booked into Douglas County Corrections on charges of robbery, along with felony warrants for theft by unlawful taking and a violation of probation.
Chuar’s arrest brings closure to both the robbery case and his involvement in the auto theft investigation. Authorities continue to investigate further details surrounding his criminal activities.
