The Nuh police arrested Sahun on Tuesday for the murder of his wife, Sania. Initially, Sahun misled the police by fabricating a story about a robbery attempt, claiming that his wife was killed during the robbery. However, after being detained and interrogated, Sahun confessed to the crime.
According to police sources, Sahun was dissatisfied with the dowry he received during his marriage and had suspicions about his wife’s character. This dissatisfaction led to an argument that culminated in Sahun strangling his wife to death on Monday night. The murder took place near a factory on the Karhera-Bhadas road.
After committing the crime, Sahun filed a false complaint at the Nagina police station, alleging that he and his wife had been attacked by miscreants, during which his wife was killed and his motorcycle set on fire.
Police spokespersons revealed that multiple teams were formed to investigate the case. When the police team detained Sahun for questioning on Tuesday, his story unraveled, and he eventually confessed to the murder.
This case follows a similar incident in Hajipur Gauheta village, where a man had also fabricated a false story to cover up the murder of his wife. Police were able to solve both cases swiftly and arrest the accused.
