In a special operation, the Nuh police have successfully arrested 14 individuals involved in various online scams. The authorities seized 13 mobile phones, 19 fake SIM cards, and two ATM cards from the suspects’ possession. Eleven FIRs have been filed against the accused, who were engaged in fraudulent activities like fake hotel bookings, sextortion, bogus claims of owning Mughal-era gold coins (ashrafis), and fake taxi service ads.
The criminals used social media to conceal their identities and deceive victims. The police operation, which targeted multiple locations including Malab, Bisru, Ted, Khera Khalipur, Chanddaka, and areas along the KMP Expressway and Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, resulted in the capture of the suspects.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Sahil from Kama (Rajasthan), Taslim alias Tassi from Gopalgarh (Rajasthan), Sarik alias Gutari and Sarip from Jurhera (Rajasthan), Manish from Korli (Rajasthan), Parvez from Khoh (Rajasthan), Musaib from Bisru village, Sahil from Bichhor village, Sohail from Hirwari village, Sohil from Jharpuri village, Ajaj alias Izaz from Rigad village, Sahil from Hathangaon village (Nuh district), and Asif from Bisambra village (Uttar Pradesh).
The accused primarily targeted victims in West Bengal, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, and Bihar. The police are continuing their investigations and questioning the suspects.
