Nowhera Shaikh Held in Heera Gold Fraud Case

CCS Executes NBWs, Brings Her to Hyderabad Court

by Ananya Mehta

The Central Crime Station (CCS) police apprehended Nowhera Shaikh, CEO of Heera Group, in Faridabad, Haryana, executing pending non-bailable warrants (NBWs) in connection with the Heera Gold investment scam. She is being transported to Hyderabad to be produced before a local court.

Officials revealed that three NBWs had been pending against Nowhera since 2018 in separate fraud cases. Despite the Supreme Court cancelling her bail in October 2024, she failed to surrender, prompting law enforcement to closely monitor her movements across the country.

“She was intercepted in the Surajkund area of Faridabad on Tuesday,” said DCP CCS N Swetha. “We have executed the warrants and she will be brought before the Hyderabad court.”

The Heera Group has been under scrutiny for its alleged involvement in a multi-crore investment fraud scheme. Further legal proceedings are expected in the coming days.
