The authorities seized 505 grams of cocaine valued at approximately Rs 2.50 crore from his possession.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from the ANTF units of Varanasi and Ghazipur, along with the Cantt Police, set up a cordon on a road in the Cantonment area. They intercepted Singh, a resident of Khajuri Pandeypur, and searched his bag. The search led to the discovery of the cocaine, resulting in his immediate arrest.

Along with the cocaine, the police recovered an Aadhaar card, Rs 1200 cash, two mobile phones, and a motorcycle from Singh. The cocaine, according to officials, was valued at Rs 2.50 crore in the international market. During questioning, Singh admitted to having procured the consignment of cocaine from Kolkata and revealed that he was on his way to deliver it in Ghazipur. He further confessed to his involvement in the drug trade for several years.

This operation highlights the continuous efforts of the authorities to combat drug trafficking in the region.
