In a significant breakthrough, Asmoli police have arrested Dilip alias Harish, a notorious criminal with a long history of involvement in vehicle theft and violent crimes. Dilip, who had previously been linked to Shariq Satha’s gang, was a key figure in the violent incidents that occurred in Sambhal last year. He had a bounty of Rs25,000 on his head, according to police officials.
Dilip’s criminal activities span over 30 years, starting with auto-lifting in 1993. Throughout his career, he constantly changed identities to evade capture, running a criminal network that stretched across multiple states, including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Delhi, and Rajasthan. His stolen vehicles were sold in remote areas like Nagaland and West Bengal.
Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Bishnoi stated that Dilip’s arrest is a major success in their ongoing efforts to combat crime. Having committed over 40 criminal activities, his capture marks a significant achievement for law enforcement agencies.
