Norman Eugene Frontis Jr., a 68-year-old resident of Bell Street in Mooresville, was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Deputies on a range of drug and identity-related offenses following a traffic stop.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on April 12, when deputies pulled over a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo. During the stop, Frontis reportedly gave false identification details. When the provided name and birthdate didn’t match the photo on record, deputies confirmed his real identity and uncovered an outstanding arrest order dating back to 2016.
A search of the vehicle revealed cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. As a result, Frontis was charged with multiple felonies, including possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, cocaine possession, maintaining a vehicle for drug activity, and identity theft. Misdemeanor charges included marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession, and traffic violations such as driving without a license and expired registration.
Frontis was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he is being held under a $50,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 1. His prior criminal history includes felony cocaine possession, larceny, 19 counts of writing worthless checks, and various misdemeanors.
