Nirjuli Police Recover Stolen Two-Wheeler, Apprehend Assam Thief

Police in Arunachal succeed in vehicle recovery, arrest suspect

The Nirjuli Police in Arunachal Pradesh have successfully recovered another stolen two-wheeler and arrested the accused from Assam.

The operation, led by Sub-Inspector Mahanth Prasad, along with ASI D. Tsering, Constable Tana Budh Tara, and Constable Rohit Dada, was based on reliable intelligence. The suspect, Chandan Mondal, aged 24, hails from Chirang district in Assam. He was apprehended in his hometown following the registration of Nirjuli PS Case No. 25/25 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The stolen scooty has been recovered and officially seized after completing the necessary legal procedures.

This marks the eighth vehicle recovery in the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR) as part of the ongoing Cops and Community initiative aimed at reducing vehicle thefts.

Superintendent of Police, Naharlagun, Mihin Gambo, praised the team’s dedication and urged the public to stay alert. He also encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities or unregistered vehicles to their nearest police station.
