In a significant drug trafficking operation, Abedio Solomon, a 29-year-old Nigerian national residing in Delhi, has been arrested by the Eravipuram police. Solomon’s arrest follows the seizure of 90 grams of MDMA near Madannada Junction in Kollam city, worth approximately Rs3.5 lakh in the market.

The operation began on the night of March 12, 2025, when Shiju Khan, a resident of Pazhayattinkuzhi, was caught with MDMA. In response to this initial arrest, District Police Chief (Kollam City), Kiran Narayanan, formed a special team for further investigation. The investigation quickly expanded, leading to the arrests of several individuals linked to the operation.

Asam Khan was arrested for providing financial support for the drug transaction, while Mohammed Rasikh was caught distributing the MDMA within Kollam. Faisal, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, facilitated the arrangements in Delhi, where Solomon was based.

Solomon’s arrest marks a key step in dismantling a significant drug network, and further investigations are underway to uncover additional details about the trafficking operation and other possible connections.
