Nicolle Arlotta, Brian Whitney Arrested in Hiawassee Drug Bust

Pair charged after meth and controlled substances found

HIAWASSEE, Ga. — Two individuals were arrested Saturday night following a drug investigation at a Texaco gas station in Hiawassee, according to the Towns County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say investigators received a tip about possible drug activity at the gas station and conducted surveillance. They later made contact with Nicolle Michelle Arlotta, 40, of Warne, North Carolina, and Brian William Whitney, 44, of Hiawassee.

Upon developing probable cause, deputies searched both suspects and reportedly discovered several controlled substances.

Arlotta was allegedly found with methamphetamine and other items. She faces multiple charges, including:

Possession of methamphetamine

Possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance

Crossing guard lines with weapons, drugs, or intoxicants without consent

Possession and use of drug-related objects

Whitney was charged with possession of a Schedule III controlled substance.

Both suspects were taken into custody, and the investigation remains ongoing.
