Nicole Boulanger Arrested in Cayuga County Welfare Fraud

Waterloo woman charged with larceny and food stamp misuse

WATERLOO, N.Y. — A Waterloo woman was arrested Tuesday on an outstanding warrant in connection with welfare fraud in Cayuga County.

Authorities identified the suspect as 32-year-old Nicole Boulanger. Her arrest followed an investigation by the Cayuga County Department of Social Services Case Integrity Unit, with support from the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the District Attorney’s Office.

Boulanger faces charges of Welfare Fraud in the Fourth Degree, Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, and Misuse of Food Stamps exceeding $1,000.

Sheriff Brian Schenck emphasized that his office is committed to working with partner agencies to detect and prosecute individuals who commit fraud, ensuring the integrity of public assistance programs.
