Nico Tobias Sentenced for Stealing Fragrance Sets from Boots

58-Year-Old Woodbridge Man Ordered to Pay £200 and Serve 12 Weeks

by Sophia Bennett

WOODBRIDGE, Suffolk – Nico Tobias, 58, of Woodbridge Road, Suffolk, was sentenced on January 17 for stealing two Givenchy L’Interdit Fragrance gift sets from a local Boots store. The value of the stolen items was £200, and Tobias was ordered to pay the full amount back to the pharmacy chain.

Tobias did not verbally confirm his plea, but he indicated a guilty plea before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court. His crime was deemed so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified. As a result, Tobias will serve 12 weeks in prison.

The court also considered Tobias’s previous convictions and his response to prior court orders when determining the sentence. The priority was to recover the £200 worth of stolen goods, and as such, Tobias will not be required to pay a surcharge or legal costs.
