Gurugram police have arrested two additional suspects in the shocking murder of 19-year-old auto driver Vipin, who was brutally beaten over a Rs10 fare dispute. The new arrests bring the total to four.
The latest accused are Netrapal (25) and Padam (20), both residents of Kherki Majra village near Dwarka Expressway, and have been remanded for interrogation
Earlier, Ram Vishal Dubey (19) from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and Laxman (24) from Krishna Colony, Gurugram, were also arrested in connection with the case
The violent incident unfolded on August 10 near a petrol pump in Ravi Nagar, after Vipin demanded a valid note to replace a torn Rs10 fare given by the passengers. The disagreement escalated, and over six assailants assaulted Vipin with sticks, chasing him to another location where the assault continued. Tragically, Vipin succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Sunday
The police have upgraded the charge to murder under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Investigators continue to pursue the remaining suspects involved in the brutal crime
