Nazim Ahmad Mir Arrested for Drug Possession in Awantipora

120 grams of Charas recovered during Naka Checking at Padgampora

In a significant move against drug trafficking, Awantipora Police arrested a drug peddler during a routine Naka Checking at Padgampora Crossing.

The Police Station Awantipora team, under the supervision of SHO PS Awantipora, apprehended Nazim Ahmad Mir (son of Ab Hamid Mir) from Kawani after he was found moving under suspicious circumstances.

Upon conducting a thorough search, the police recovered 120 grams of Charas-like substance (in the shape of sticks), wrapped in maize husk, from his possession.

A case under FIR No. 100/2025 has been registered at Police Station Awantipora under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Investigations are ongoing as the police continue their efforts to combat drug peddling in the region.
