Nathaniel Walker Arrested for Walmart Theft in New Hartford

Utica man taken into custody for stealing over $500 in merchandise

Nathaniel Walker was arrested on March 23 following an investigation into a theft that occurred on February 21 at Walmart on Commercial Drive in New Hartford, New York.

Police said Walker, 52, fled the store with merchandise valued at over $500 and had previously been banned from the store due to a prior incident. An arrest warrant was issued for burglary and petit larceny.

The United States Marshals Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, working with several local and state agencies, located and arrested Walker.

He was transported to the Oneida County Jail and is being held in pre-arraignment detention.
