OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. — A man has been arrested after a pregnant woman reported being kidnapped and sexually assaulted at a home in Seneca, South Carolina, according to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a call Wednesday morning regarding a domestic disturbance on Sandifer Boulevard. Upon arrival, they spoke with the female victim, who stated that 32-year-old Nathan Walter Rogers sexually assaulted her while fully aware of her pregnancy.
During the incident, Rogers allegedly grabbed and restrained the woman inside the home, preventing her from leaving. According to arrest warrants, she managed to escape by biting him on the arm.
Following the investigation, Rogers was charged with kidnapping and second-degree domestic violence.
He was taken into custody around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center. Rogers, who has listed addresses in both Griffin, Georgia, and Seneca, South Carolina, is being held on a $50,000 bond.
Authorities stated that if he is released, he will be required to wear an ankle monitor as part of his bond conditions.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
