In a shocking crime of relationship violence, Andhra Pradesh police arrested a married man named Naresh for the murder of his lover, Tanmayi, an intermediate student from Anantapur district.
According to police reports, on June 3, Naresh took Tanmayi to a secluded location they frequently visited. There, he bludgeoned her with a stone, killing her on the spot.
When Tanmayi did not return home that evening, her parents, residents of Ramakrishna Colony in Anantapur Town, filed a missing person complaint. Investigators soon focused on Naresh, suspecting foul play due to his close relationship with the victim.
Further questioning and evidence led to his arrest, confirming his involvement in the premeditated murder.
The motive behind the crime is still under investigation, but early reports suggest it may be linked to Naresh’s marital status and fear of exposure.
