Nandurbar Police Arrest 11 in Rs 60 Lakh Jewellery Robbery

Cash, ornaments recovered; investigation continues

Nandurbar police have arrested 11 suspects in connection with the October 27 robbery of a jeweller traveling between Mhasavad and Budigavhan, in which cash and jewellery worth Rs 60 lakh were stolen.

Recovery Details

Authorities have recovered jewellery valued at Rs 38.9 lakh so far. A senior officer from the Local Crime Branch (LCB) said initial investigations led to the arrest of eight suspects from Dhule, Ahilyanagar, and Jalgaon districts, along with the recovery of Rs 5.3 lakh in cash and articles.

On November 22, LCB inspector Hemant Patil received information about two more suspects, Vijay Gaikwad and Salman Khalil Khan, traveling toward Nandurbar from Nijampur, who were also apprehended.

The case remains under investigation to trace any remaining loot and possible accomplices.
