The Nakodar police have apprehended three individuals for selling heroin and intoxicating tablets. Sarabjit Singh from Dherain village, Harpindarjit Singh of Kotla Janga village, and Sangampreet Singh from Randhawa village in Hoshiarpur were caught with 3 grams of heroin and 87 intoxicating tablets. Cases under the NDPS Act have been filed against the accused.
Separately, the Mehatpur police arrested Jaspal Singh, a known drug peddler from Bute Dian Chhana village. Authorities seized 3 grams of heroin, 20 loose intoxicating tablets, and Rs 21,500 suspected as drug money from him.
The police are continuing investigations to dismantle drug networks in the region.
