Nakodar police have successfully arrested two proclaimed offenders who had been absconding for years. Des Raj, a resident of Natt village under Nurmahal police station, was wanted in a 2019 murder case and had been declared a proclaimed offender in 2021. The police apprehended him after a prolonged search.
In a related operation, the police also arrested Buta Ram from Raiwal village, who was wanted in a drug peddling case and similarly declared a proclaimed offender. Both accused have been taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
This crackdown marks a significant step by Nakodar police in bringing long-standing fugitives to justice.
