Nagpur Police Arrest Three in Rs 7.5 Lakh Matrimonial Scam

The Nagpur Cyber Police have arrested three individuals, including a Malawian citizen, in connection with a matrimonial scam that defrauded a woman of Rs 7.5 lakh.

According to police, the victim was approached by a man claiming to be Dr. Manish Madhuk on a matrimonial website. Over time, the suspect gained her trust through regular communication and promised marriage.

The fraudster, claiming to live outside India, asked the victim for financial assistance under various pretexts. Police traced the suspicious bank transactions, leading to the arrests of:

Faizal Mohammad Farid Sheikh

Francis Masuku Zimba – Malawian citizen

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are looking into whether the accused were involved in similar scams targeting other individuals.
