Nabin Sabar, Sudhakar Mandal Held With 164 kg Marijuana

Odisha duo caught smuggling drugs into city outskirts

The Special Operations Team (SOT) of the Cantonment Zone, in coordination with Abdullapurmet Police, has arrested two interstate drug peddlers and seized 164.86 kg of marijuana valued at approximately Rs 41 lakh on Sunday night.

The accused, Nabin Sabar (28) and Sudhakar Mandal (27), both from Odisha, were intercepted near Nalgonda Dharma Kanta on the city outskirts while allegedly smuggling the contraband into the city in a car.

Police recovered 80 packets of marijuana hidden in the vehicle’s boot, along with two mobile phones used by the suspects. The arrested individuals and the seized material have been handed over to Abdullapurmet Police for further legal action.

Authorities confirmed that further investigations are ongoing to trace other members of the interstate drug network and dismantle their operations.
