Delhi Police arrested Munchun Kewat, a vegetable seller from Azadpur Mandi, on Saturday (February 28, 2026) in connection with the brutal murder of his wife and three daughters at their residence in New Delhi.
The horrifying incident occurred on Wednesday (February 25, 2026). According to police officials, Kewat allegedly used a sharp-edged weapon to kill his family members and had been evading arrest since the crime.
After a multi-state manhunt, Kewat was apprehended in Kishangarh, Rajasthan. The accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway to determine the motive and sequence of events leading to the tragedy.
Police have confirmed that legal proceedings under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code will follow, and the case remains under investigation.
